Carlos’ Nismo 370z

We are fortunate to work with fantastic clients and as a result they are the best form of advertising. Carlos H and Scott C met at the same gym. We supercharged Scott C’s G35 several years ago, and he was kind enough to refer ZCG to Carlos for work on his 2016 Nismo 370Z.  When we first met Carlos he came in for some bolt-ons: Stillen G3 intakes, Fast Intentions cat-back exhaust, and a UPREV flash:

FI cat-back exhaust:

We also installed FI long tube headers:

On the dyno immediate gains of +12hp/16tq to the wheels were seen with the intake and exhaust:

The best way to maximize gains from bolt-ons is perform an ECU tune. UPREV tuning yielded further gains for a total of 323hp/266tq to the wheels:

Carlos came back for suspension upgrades and we all know Rob loves the KW V3 coilovers:

Front/Rear:

Next, we installed our favorite sway bars from Hotchkis:

Carlos is Enjoying The Ride…and we have to say the 2015+ Nismo Z34s look so good!

This year Richard’s Z is featured in DSPORT magazine. Grab a copy of the Feb 2018 issue on newsstands soon!

You can also see his Z on display at the Silicon Valley Auto Show January 4-7:

Allan’s FX35

by Alvin G @ 1:08 am on October 11, 2017

Allan came to ZCG because he was getting a Check Engine light resulting in smog issues. We found that his catalytic converters were well passed their lifespan and decided to get a set of low-mileage cats for testing. While the FX was in the shop we installed some Fast Intentions high-flow cats:

The engine was treated to a Stillen intake, and UPREV tuning. Since this car is awd, Rob UPREV streetuned it.

Allan is super stoked and enjoying the FX. He’s also been coming in for regular services and we love keeping folks on the road!

Jason’s Stillen Supercharged 370z

Filed under: 370z,Featured Cars and Projects,Performance

Jason S had his 2012 370z supercharged at a performance shop in the Sacramento area. He then tracked us down to install a smaller pulley and raise the boost level followed by UPREV tuning to replace the base CAN tune.

Once we got his car into the shop we realiZed there were several things to handle before increasing the power. First, it is important to put in a colder spark plug in a car with forced induction and we used our proven GT-R units. When going from 280whp to 400whp we wanted to make sure nothing was rubbing so the following items were addressed:

All vacuum and boost lines were secured to keep them from popping off:

We corrected wiring at the ART pipes where a wire was touching the exhaust:

We corrected orientation of MAF housing:

The oil cooler lines were secured to prevent from rubbing anything on the front end:

We rectified the flaky wiring to the intercooler pump that allows water to flow into the cooler. No more on/off issues with the pump. With all of the clean-up work sorted we installed the smaller supercharger pulley and UPREV tuned the Z:

ZCG has performed many Stillen s/c kits and it’s a wonderful way to pump up your Z with minimal hassle and great power gains. Thank you Jason for letting us sort out your Z!

Matt M is another member of the Inconceivable Racing group and visited ZCG to supercharge his 370z Convertible. Here are a few pictures of the Stillen kit installation:

Matt came back to have us install some ART pipes and a Fast Intentions catback exhaust system:

ART pipes in place:

OEM vs FI exhaust system:

Being base model Z, Matt wanted to put slightly wider wheels on and sticky RE-71R tires for track days:

We love the PLX Devices gauge that neatly replaces the clock with a multi-function display to monitor vitals:

Finally, also installed new end links for his sway bars:

On the dyno we retuned with ECUTEK to maximize gains from the bolt-ons. Final numbers are 402hp/354tq to the wheels, peak gains of 32hp/24tq. After 4000rpm gains of almost +50hp/tq are seen:

Enjoy The Boost, Matt!
