The Stillen supercharger kit for the Z34/G37 is an install we are intimately familiar with here at Z Car Garage. Here are two customer cars that got supercharged and tuned for nice power gains while maintaining CARB-legal status.
Vince’s 2012 G37
Vince hails from SSF and heard about us from friends with Z’s and G’s. He wanted us to install the Stillen supercharger kit and we added our favorite upgrades like the the Concept Z performance 25-row oil cooler.
Vice had upgraded clutch/flywheel that was really hard to drive on the street. We fitted him with a JWT clutch/flywheel and the troublesome internal slave cylinder was switched to an external unit using the CMAK upgrade from Z-speed.
With the supercharger installed we started the tuning process.
A relatively new approach, we move away from the stock MAF system and use ECutek tuning with a MAP-based system. Final numbers were 407hp//321tq to the wheels:
Thanks Vince, Enjoy The Boost!
John’s 2011 370z
John has been a ZCG customer for 10 years and we used to work on his S30. He came in for a Stillen supercharger install on his 370z and added the Concept Z 25-row oil cooler and Automatic transmission cooler.
After Rob’s tuning session on the dyno John’s Z made 407hp/300tq to the wheels:
Being a base model, an LSD is next on John’s list. Enjoy the Boost!

We tuned Maximus’ 2014 370z on his last visit to ZCG with gains of 30whp using bolt-on parts. Power can be addicting, and soon Max told us he was ready for boost. We chose the Stillen supercharger kit for its CARB-legal status and straightforward installation.
With only 28k miles on the odometer we installed the Black Edition Stillen kit and our standard ZCG supporting mods like a Concept Z performance 25-row oil cooler and automatic transmission cooler. A few pictures of the installation:
The completed supercharger install:
Max’s Z had an open diff so we did installed an OS Giken limited-slip diff and gearset from the 370z 6spd MT:
Hotchkis front/rear Sway bars:
On the dyno, Rob performed an ECutek tune yielding 383hp/304tq to the wheels:
Enjoy The Boost, Max!

Irl N. heard about Z Car Garage from our friends at Stillen. He purchased several parts and wanted them installed correctly on his 2017 Q50s Red Sport. We started with the Stillen cat-back exhaust system:
Stock Vs. Stillen:
Next, an AMS Heat Exchanger:
The suspension received SPC front/rear control arms, lowering springs and a rear sway bar:
Braking improvements included new rotors (from Irl) and we provided the Stoptech 309 pads that we love:
With just a few upgrades Irl’s Q50 really boogies now!
We have worked on the new Q’s before and now they are beginning to come through our doors often–look for more VR30DDTT goodness on the blog!

Jose B visited us in April to troubleshoot some noises and install his
Motordyne exhaust and Stillen intakes. We also UPREV dyno-tuned the 370Z, making an impressive 345hp/265tq to the wheels. Jose recently came back to ZCG for a big-brake upgrade.
We installed Jose’s Stillen AP Racing Big Brake Kit, replacing the stock front calipers and rotors:
The 14″, 6-piston calipers finished in red really fill out the Nimso 19″ wheels:
We like the new look with the rear spoiler and lowered suspension:
Thanks for letting us be a part of your build Jose, Long Live The Z!

Jose B is from Antioch, CA and knows our customer Richard M (ZCG-modified 370z). After getting into an accident with his 370z, Jose went to several shops to identify a peculiar squeak coming from the front end. Unfortunately the squeak was not resolved so Jose visited ZCG to sort it out. We spent time going over the suspension and other areas to identify the source of the squeak and found that one of the motor mounts was completely broken:
In addition to replacing the driver’s side motor mount, Jose wanted us to install some parts he had purchased online. Here is a full Motordyne exhaust system including their Long Tube XYZ stepped headers with Helmholtz module:
A few shots of the exhaust installation:
We also installed Stillen Gen 3 intakes:
With the motor mount sorted and new parts installed Jose wanted to have the Z UPREV tuned. This was a wise decision, especially with the new bolt-ons. Historically we have made good power with simple bolt-ons to the VQ37 and we were surprised by Jose’s Z34. The Z baselined at 295hp/245tq to the wheels and with UPREV tuning put down 344hp/266tq to the wheels!
Peak gains of almost 50hp and 21tq at the wheels is impressive! Enjoy The Ride Jose!
