Things are progressing with the build as we speak and I was able to grab a few shots of the suspension while it was being mocked up for the final time before being sent out for powder coating.  Hopefully I will have the finished suspension shots for you shortly.  These are just a teaser.  RB power for life!!

The GReddy RB intake manifolds have come back to us from our fabrication shop and we couldn’t be happier with the result!!  They have been modified to suit our needs for the RB 240Zs that are currently being built but that is about all I care to divulge.  You will also notice that the surface has also been roughly polished to prepare for the final finishes which are still to be determined.

The other photo is of the throttle bodies that have been modified.  There are a few upgrades on these as well but at this time we are also choosing to keep the modifications under wraps, I’m sure you can understand the need for secrecy here…

Look for more updates soon as the projects roll along towards completion!!!  ZCG!!!

Behemoth Update: The RB Builds Continue!

Here are the latest happenings with the Behemoth RB28 monster.  As most of you know the car came back from paint a few weeks ago and now we have all of the suspension removed and being prepped for powder coating.  Every single part has been removed from the body and will be restored or customized as needed.  The struts will soon be shortened and the coil-overs installed.  The struts will then be sent out along with the rest of the suspension and bracketry to be powder coated high-gloss black.

Besides powder coating, all of the hardware for THE ENTIRE CAR has been labeled and sorted and will soon be going out to be freshly zinc plated.  All hardware that is too corroded to be restored into perfect condition is set to be replaced.

While these parts are out getting fixed up, we at ZCG will be organizing and setting up our final game plan for the installation of the interior.  We will also be preparing the underbody for the final undercoating which we will be doing at the shop.  The undercoating that we use is topnotch and will definitely stand up to the abuse this car will surely see on and off the track.

The more we plan ahead the quicker the amazing project will be finished, and that is the ultimate goal.  We want this car in the hands of it’s loving owner as soon as possible

REMEMBER: These are the BEFORE pictures.  You won’t believe how different the underside of the this care is going to look in a few short weeks.  Enjoy the pictures here of the dissassembly of the car, and I will have more photos of the freshly restored parts in a few weeks.

A few weeks ago you may remember that we stripped the interior out of Kurtzee, the blue RB project, and mid last week it returned.  OUR FABRICATION PEOPLE ROCK!!  The chassis has be stiffened in all the right places to handle the power of the new RB25DET.  All parts of the new cage structure have been tucked away and as tightly to the factory bodywork as possible so that it will not interfere with the driver in anyway, these cars need to have the functionality of a daily driver to be a success in our eyes.

The next step for this project is a trip off to the paint shop to have the cage covered and for the engine bay to be smoothed over and finished.  This should be completed in the next few weeks and then the car will begin final assembly at the shop.  Ill have some more photos when it’s at paint.

I hope you all had a great fourth of July weekend, MotoGP at Laguna Seca was amazing.  Thanks to all who came.  ZCG
