Mark G came to ZCG to have his NISMO Z33 wheels re-finished, T/C bushings replaced and get an UPREV tune. Since his Z was a base model it didn’t have the fancy multi-function steering wheel…UPREV tuning maps can be selected via the steering wheel mounted buttons so we did a complete gauge cluster/steering wheel swap. The clutch switch was also replaced for the cruise control “cancel” button:
On the dyno, Rob’s UPREV tuning yielded +10hp/10tq for a total of 270hp/253tq to the wheels. Check out the significant gains from mid-range to redline:

Max has worked on cars since high school. His automotive obsession started with a clean white S13 hatch, then a very nice NA Z32, a G35 sedan and now this silver 350 Zed with a great story behind it.
Max got the itch for a Z33 after enjoying his G35 sedan for awhile. Enter Josiah, who was looking for a G35 sedan. Josiah is the cousin of Matt(owner of this
GTM G37) and also owner of a super clean 60k mile 350z with a potent APS Twin Turbo drivetrain from
Enrique’s old Z. A deal was made and Max ended up with the silver, boosted Z and Josiah got the G35 sedan…everyone wins!
The APS kit was the most powerful twin turbo setup when it was introduced years ago and continues to satisfy. Limited MAF and injector upgrades compatible with the kit make it not as tuning-friendly as the current aftermarket setups out there but at ZCG we always find a way to make more power!
Using a GTM MAF, Aeromotive 340 fuel pump and 600cc injectors we retuned the Z for more boost:
Max’s Z now makes 466hp and 443tq to the wheels compared to 355hp/372tq before the upgrades/tuning! Enjoy the boost Max and thanks to Josiah and Matt for keeping Z’s in the family!

We have been taking care of Carlton’s 350z for a long time and he recently needed to replace worn brakes. Instead of the costlier OEM rotors/pads/lines we installed a Stoptech Sport Kit:
The kit consists of slotted rotors, stainless braided brake lines and performance pads. This is a fantastic alternative to the OEM parts and perfect for the demanding Z-car owner who enjoys”spirited” driving. Peter has been with ZCG for a long time and we’ve been maintaining his 350z to keep it reliable for his commute. Peter eventually decided to turn up the wick and make the Z a bit more fun when driving over the hill from Santa Cruz into the South Bay via HWY 17. To sharpen handling we installed Hotchkis front/rear sway bars:
A Bassani exhaust system frees up some power while increasing the already melodious VQ-note:
A Motordyne 5/16 plenum spacer followed by an UPREV tune rounded out the power mods. +22hp/16tq to the wheels is sure to make Peter smile on the drive to work 🙂

Jerry owns this sweet Daytona Blue Z33. He did his own Vortech supercharger install and came to Z Car Garage for some final sorting/tuning. We cleaned up some wiring, changed the spark plugs and got the Z running well so Jerry could start Enjoying the Ride with 388hp/353tq to the wheels!
