Roman’s 2008 Nissan 350z

Roman C came to Z Car Garage earlier this year to have his 2008 Nissan 350z inspected. After going over the car he expressed his goals and one was full suspension upgrades. We installed KW V3 coil-overs and replaced bushings throughout with Whiteline parts.  ZCG has performed many KW suspension installs and we really like how they work, using them exclusively on the 300zx(z32) and 350z models.

OEM vs KW coil-overs front and rear:

Whenever we do a coil-over installation and lower the ride height we always use the SPC front and rear camber arms. This ensures that a customer gets the desired ride height, handling and tire wear:

Stock vs SPC upper control arms, with a full alignment following installation:

OEM sway bars were replaced with our favorite units from sway bars from Hotchkis:

A common upgrade/maintenance item we routinely perform is differential bushing replacement. Here, again we use Whiteline bushings:

Roman had a few bolt-ons like intake and exhaust so we UPREV tuned. Peak numbers of 304hp/260tq to the wheels was achieved but more importantly the power gains are seen throughout the rev range:

Roman was super stoked with the results. We took care of a few maintenance items like replacing a drive belt and peforming a coolant flush. Finally, he had he bought some new wheels/tires so we mounted and balanced them for him.

Enjoy The Ride Roman!

Carlos’ Nismo 370z

We are fortunate to work with fantastic clients and as a result they are the best form of advertising. Carlos H and Scott C met at the same gym. We supercharged Scott C’s G35 several years ago, and he was kind enough to refer ZCG to Carlos for work on his 2016 Nismo 370Z.  When we first met Carlos he came in for some bolt-ons: Stillen G3 intakes, Fast Intentions cat-back exhaust, and a UPREV flash:

FI cat-back exhaust:

We also installed FI long tube headers:

On the dyno immediate gains of +12hp/16tq to the wheels were seen with the intake and exhaust:

The best way to maximize gains from bolt-ons is perform an ECU tune. UPREV tuning yielded further gains for a total of 323hp/266tq to the wheels:

Carlos came back for suspension upgrades and we all know Rob loves the KW V3 coilovers:

Next, we installed our favorite sway bars from Hotchkis:

Carlos is Enjoying The Ride…and we have to say the 2015+ Nismo Z34s look so good!

Brad’s G37 Sedan

Filed under: 370z,Featured Cars and Projects,Performance
by Alvin G @ 1:25 am on February 8, 2017

Brad M is a new customer with a 2009 G37 Sedan that visited ZCG for suspension work. Front tire wear issues resulted from riding around on Eibach sport springs without adjustable front control arms. In back, running aggressive offset Volk SF Challenge wheels with larger tires he was unable to control camber and have the lower ride height desired. We met a few weeks ago and came up with a plan:

We installed KW V3 coil-overs, SPC front control arms and Hotchkis sway bars. Those sweet Volks were wrapped in new Bridgestone S-04 tires, and he got an oil change/filter.

Stock vs the new front coil-overs and control arms:

Stock vs new rear springs/shocks and we also corrected a bad previous install of rear control arms:

Camber in check, car looks great now with an even ride height:

Installation of the front and rear Hotchkis sway bars with endlink detail:

Stock vs Hotchkis rear sway bar:

We noticed Brad was missing the hubcentric rings for mounting the Volks and installed a new set to ensure vibration-free driving. He was very happy and we know he’ll be back!

Adam’s G37 Coupe

Adam L works at an Infiniti dealership in the Bay Area. He had numerous bolt-on suspension parts installed at the dealership but left the dial-in and fine tuning to ZCG. Little details like tidying up the KW coil-over suspension and replacing some mangled sway bar bushings got the G37 back on the road:

Enjoy the Ride, and thanks for rocking a Z Car Garage banner on your windshield Adam! 🙂
