Jaques G was referred to Z Car Garage his co-workers at Apple. Last month he visited us for suspension/wheels and came back for Stillen intakes and an UPREV tune. Handling was improved with a few common upgrades like stiffer Eibach springs, Hotchkis sway bars and SPC control arms to keep alignment in check:
A nice braking upgrade is the OEM G37 S caliper setup. We installed these Akebono units on Stoptech rotors all around:
Front OEM vs big calipers:
Absolutely beautiful 19″ WedsSport SA55M wheels encase the calipers well.
These wheels are finished in matte grey have a more concave face for the rear…very handsome additions to the G.
Jacques wanted a little more power so we installed Stillen intakes followed by UPREV tuning.
The intake alone was good for +10hp but no significant gain in peak tq. Note, however nice gains in low and high rev ranges. UPREV tuning yielded an additional 4hp/6tq for total of 298hp/240tq to the wheels. Shown below are the gains from baseline to intake to UPREV:
Finally, the G was up for smog and it passed with flying colors. Jaques’ G37 is now a sharp looking corner-carver!

With 90k miles on the odometer Dannie P decided it was time to start modding his 2005 FX35. Infiniti’s sporty crossover luckily runs the familiar VQ35 as seen in the Z/G sportscars so similar bolt-on options are available. Dannie wasn’t impressed with the Kinetix intake plenum he had previously installed so we went back to the factory unit. Bassani makes a wonderful sounding dual-exhaust system for Z’s so modified one to fit on the FX–a ZCG first.
Slightly larger tips look great in the factory exits:
Big thanks to Christian at 034 Motorsport for letting us put the FX on their awd dyno for an UPREV tuning session. We started with a baseline of 177hp/191tq and finished with 209hp/205tq at the (4) wheels. Peak gains were +32hp/14tq! Note the increased rev limit with power available all the way to 7krpm:
To enjoy the extra power, suspension and braking upgrades are always smart . GTSPEC bracing reduces chassis flex and a Stoptech sport kit improves braking duties:
The underbody bracing clears the Bassani exhaust:
Enjoy The Ride Dannie!

Russell came in for a 15k service, new tires and a few suspension upgrades.
Stoptech brake pads and Hotchkis sway bars are simple, effective upgrades:
The Hotchkis sway bars are noticeably larger and stiffer than OEM units:
Russell can now enjoy driving his sedan in the twisty stuff!

Kunal J is the owner of this very sexy G35 coupe with Volk TE37s wheels and tasteful ride height. He came to ZCG for brake services, ART pipes and an UPREV dyno tune. We happily installed brake parts that Kunal brought in himself and replenished the clutch hydraulics:
ART pipes, and fresh tires for the timeless TE37 wheels:
Rob UPREV tuned the G and gained 16hp/4tq for a total of 278hp/261tq to the wheels. The dyno shows improvements throughout the entire rev range:
Thanks for letting us work on your G35 Kunal!

Robert C purchased a Vortech supercharger kit and started looking for a shop to install it for him. When we got the call from Robert we happily obliged to take his G35 Coupe to the next level! Here is the V3 kit awaiting installation:
Some in-progress pictures:
FMIC and GTM 25-row oil cooler:
We also installed a Motordyne plenum spacer, Whiteline lower control arm bushings, changed tranny/diff fluids, and did some general clean-up…
With Rob’s tuning the Vortech kit make excellent power: 413hp/341tq to the wheels!
We love how the Vortech boosts power while being CARB legal and docile for daily driving…Robert sent us an e-mail confirming this:
“Rob just wanted to reiterate how incredible the car is. You guys do a great job. I had no idea the car would be that strong yet tame as it was before the install.
I have been nothing but a grin from ear to ear for hours now.”
Enjoy The Ride, Robert!
