This 1971 Datsun 510 wagon is powered by a naturally-aspirated 2.4-liter KA24DE inline-four paired with a five-speed manual transmission sourced from a Nissan 240SX. The car is a great driver and recently completed the 300-mile Tokyo Calling Rally in Napa, Ca with zero issues. It was repainted in its original shade of green with a black vinyl interior and re-chromed bumpers and trim by the previous owner.
The cabin is trimmed in black vinyl and features BMW E30 front seats, Nardi steering and rare Bluebird center console. The previous owner installed new carpet, headliner, door cards and all rubber seals were replaced.
15″ Panasport wheels wear 195/55 at all four corners, and the car rides on front coil-overs with modified rear leaf springs.
The naturally-aspirated 2.4-liter KA24DE inline-four was installed during prior ownership. It was featured on Bring a Trailer in 2011 with an L-Series:
The KA24DE uses a Megasquirt engine management system. Power is sent to the rear wheels through a 240SX-sourced five-speed manual transmission and factory differential. We dyno tuned it, making 148hp/161tq at the wheels:

This 510 is wonderful driver. We recently enjoying driving from San Jose to Sonoma for the Tokyo Calling 3 event on August 26, 2023. It made the 300-mile journey through fun, twisty roads with ease. We also drove it to the Z Owners of Northern California (ZONC gathering) at the Blackhawk Museum in June:
