I have quite a few posts in the works that should be done in the next day or two. Coming up will be a full track report from last Monday’s sessions at Laguna Seca, a nice write up on a G35 build and lots more.
Thanks to those of you who are patiently waiting.
Long live the Z

One of ZCG’s oldest customers is back with a bang. This Nismo 370Z comes to us with 400 miles on the clock. During the next few days we will continue to finish the break-in miles. We are chomping at the bit to start modding this bad boy. The next few weeks will include installs of upgraded brake pads with fluid and version 2 of the ZCG oil cooler kit. We have a track day set up for February the 1st at Laguna Seca.We will see how the Nismo stacks up against the ZCG 370Z. Stay tuned…

It’s been awhile since we’ve posted anything on our shop 370z, mainly because the shop has been crazy busy with customer cars. If you remember the last time we took the car to Thunderhill Raceway we experienced less than satisfactory performance out of the car in stock form. This led to the addition of HUGE StopTech brakes, bigger swaybars, and lowering springs from Eibach.
What we didn’t advertise is that we’ve had an oil cooler of our own design on the car for some time and the track day last weekend was it’s first real test of the second version. More on that in the full Norcal UFO track day post a little later this week. Another change we made is to put the R35 GT-R wheels back on the car. You may have seen pictures of the car when it was stock with these wheels on it but it is now a whole different animal now that it is lowered. the stance and look are now perfect in my eyes, take a look at the pictures to judge for yourself.
Special thanks go out to Vlad for taking the awesome night-time shots of the Z last week. Good looking out!!

This has absolutely nothing to do with ZCG but I found it interesting so I’m going to share it in case any of you saw it as well. I was watching an episode of Criminal Minds, a show based on an FBI behavior analysis unit, and the main killer was a Z aficionado!! He even used a his restored 240z to lure in his most recent victim!
There were multiple shots of the 240z throughout the episode (called “Extreme Aggressor”). The car was wearing fresh orange paint and what appeared to be a set of Konig “Rewind” (15″) wheels. If you are skipping through the channels and need a Z fix keep your eyes out for this episode. (Not to ruin it for you, but the girl who wanted to buy the Z is saved by the FBI in the end)
End of off-topic post
