Happy Monday! Carlos H came to Z Car Garage for exhaust/intake upgrades on his 2016 Nismo 370z. He was a referral from Scott C and we feel the best kind of business comes from making people happy! We installed long tube headers from Fast Intentions (FI):

From the headers back a complete FI cat-back system with 18″ resonators:

  

Stillen Gen 3 intakes:

  

With the intake and exhaust we saw nice gains of 12hp/16tq for a total of 310hp/260tq to the wheels:

 

UPREV tuning yielded  another 13hp/6tq to the wheels:

 

Final numbers were 323hp/266tq to the wheels, a significant gain of 25hp/22tq from the 298hp/244tq baseline:

Rasheed B has been testing his 2015 NISMO 370z at the track since the addition of a twin-turbo kit (full report soon) and sent us a few pics from Thunderhill Raceway. We’ve been battling high engine bay temps and the vented hood dramatically lowered them. A summer testing session is next.

 

 

Several Sacramento Z/GT-R guys also attended the track day and it is really awesome to see a bunch of cars we worked on (Eric T and Ruben G) with their owners enjoying them!

More 370z reports on the way! Greg J is a new customer at ZCG and visited ZCG for Stillen Gen 3 intakes, Bassani exhaust and an UPREV tune on his Z34 Roadster.

The VQ responded well to the bolt-on mods with gains of 24hp/11tq to for a total of 307hp/248tq to the wheels:

It is always great to see our customers enjoying their cars. We tuned and supercharged Richard M’s 370z last year before he added a full PowerHouse Amuse body kit. Earlier in March his Z was featured online and most recently we are proud to report that Richard’s Z34 won 1st place at Raceworz!

 

Raceworz is an annual event held at Sacramento Raceway which allows both show and drag racing competitions.  Richard competed against over 600 other show cars entered and won Best Nissan!

You can catch Richard and his Z at the San Francisco Auto Salon which is part of the SF International Car show at the Moscone center on November 19th-27th. Way to represent, Rich! Long Live The Z!

 

 

Jimmy V came to Z Car Garage with his 2012 Infiniti G37 Sedan, aptly named the “GNTLMN Z”. Jimmy and Rob discussed options for the best exhaust system, tuning and suspension. We got him dialed in with a Fast Intentions cat-back exhaust system using 18″ resonators and 2.5″ piping, Motordyne ART pipes, and Hotchkis sway bars:

Jimmy wanted to see dyno results before/after with no tuning at this time. With Stillen Gen3 intakes already installed we baselined at 301hp/250tq and 315hp/256tq to the wheels with the new exhaust components:
