If you are a fan of vintage racing come out to Laguna Seca August 17-19 for the Monterey Motorsports Reunion. ZCG is hosting a VIP Car Corral for your Nissan/Datsun/Infiniti. To park in the corral you MUST purchase the corral tickets through ZCG! It is only $10, allows you to park with other Datsun owners, and it’s literally footsteps away from the track and venue, unlike general parking. See you there! You can download the flyer in .pdf format below: Monterey Motorsports Reunion – 2012
Pictures from last year’s event are HERE

Mike V. came to ZCG to add a little more pep to his Juke. It’s no secret that turbocharged cars can benefit from simple bolt-ons, especially in the breathing department. We stated with a new Injen intake:
With the intake alone we saw a gain of +3hp/3tq at the wheels on an awd dyno:
A Stillen cat-back exhaust replaced the heavy, restrictive OEM system:
The exhaust produced even more hp/tq for a final output of 128hp/117tq at the wheels: modest gains but power that can be noticeably felt above 3000rpm to redline:

Dan F. comes from a car-crazy family mostly obsessed with vehicles of the German persuasion. Not that there’s anything wrong with it, especially when his weapon of choice for speed is his NISSAN 350z!
Dan is a hardcore track junkie with many road courses under his belt. He is also an avid autocrosser running with the Lockheed Sports Car Club which you may remember our very own Scott Smith winning in 2010.
Dan came to ZCG for you guessed it: More Power. Forced induction in the form of a Vortech supercharger fit the bill and a host of supporting mods with tuning completed the package for this track-happy car and owner. Below are the V-3 std trim blower, GTM oil cooler and Deatschwerks injectors:
FMIC, oil cooler mounted , intake plumbing and ART pipes with the finished install:
An Aeromotive 340 fuel pump provided sufficient go juice and there was an immediate increase in power with boost, +121hp and +83tq at the wheels:
Rob UPREV tuned for more power with 91 and 95 octane maps, (368hp/333tq and 388hp/337tq, respectively).
To cope with the noticeable increase in power the rear diff got an upgraded LSD and DEFI gauges help monitor engine vitals:
A hardcore-enthusiast just got a substantial boost in the power department…lookout for Dan at a track or autox near you…I’ve already spotted him tearing the backroads up Skyline Blvd 🙂

What an incredible gathering of old school imports! Today’s Bayline meet was a hit with well over 125 cars attending in the beautiful San Leandro Marina.
We had an impressive caravan of Datsuns and Mazdas(and a Colt) this morning at ZCarGarage. An NSX and Porsche GT3 even joined us…15 cars on the freeway was fun!
Look out 880N, JDM rides coming through!
When we arrived at the Marina there were already a few Skylines parked. The organizers rounded up 14 Skylines from all-over the country! I have never seen so many in one place. From early, GC10 “Hakosukas”, Ken and Mary cars, and even a few 80’s DR30 Skylines were present. Which one do you like?
I got to meet Mary from the Nissan commercials!
Cars kept pouring through the gates with Datsun being most represented followed by Toyota and Mazda. It truly was an impressive turnout, for a meet or even a registered car show!
There were so many cool cars to list so don’t miss the photo gallery below!
Some highlights…MORE 510s than any JCCS show I have been too! Wagons, sedans, coupes and even…wait for it…a true, Mexican solid-axle 510!
This Datsun pickup was given the full SR20DET treatment, disc brakes, and a host of custom fabrication work:
Gorgeous Z-cars from all years:
Rows of Toyota Corollas and early Celicas with mild to wild mods. I counted three S2000-powered cars! Nice Cressidas and some burly 7MGTE Celicas too…
Killer Mazdas like this clean REPU, first gen RX-7 and RX sedan:
